A Special Request for our Support Team

Thank you so much for praying for us and supporting us through our international transition this year!  We have so many answers to prayer. For over a year we prayed for the following things for our new ministry home in Texas: schools for the boys; a good church; a house; new friends. Thank you for praying for all of these areas, so faithfully—God has heard and answered.

We have one special need to share: Moving—especially internationally—is a very expensive calling. We’ve noticed that many missionaries rightly ask for one-time gifts to cover their one-time moving expenses. We had been hoping to avoid asking for such help, but our shipping costs have ended up being much more than we expected. These costs include trucking our personal belongings from the Highlands of PNG to the coast; storing them at the warehouse; shipping them across the ocean; and customs clearing charges, all of which have been higher than we’d believed they’d be (there’s no way we can know for sure ahead of time, unfortunately—we just have to pay whatever the charges are, which are automatically deducted from our Wycliffe support). And we still have to pay for the trucking costs from the coast to Dallas next month. So far, these one-time shipping costs are close to $4000.

We lived in Papua New Guinea for nearly 13 years, and in that time made many family memories there. It was a very difficult and emotional job earlier this year culling our personal belongings. We allowed each boy one Rubbermaid tub in which to pack his favorite memories and possessions. We gave away many books, dishes, linens, and other personal items, and reduced our belongings to 2.5 one-cubic-meter cardboard crates. Unfortunately, the cost has been charged to our account all at once, and has taken all of our November salary funds, and will significantly reduce our December salary as well.

If you are so led, would you be willing to give a special one-time end-of-year tax-deductible gift toward our shipping costs?  If you would like to do so, just send a check made out to Wycliffe Bible Translators to this address:

PO Box 628200
Orlando, FL 32862-8200

Do not write our names on the check, but attach a note that says:  “Coulter, #283591, one-time gift for shipping costs.”

Or give via the Wycliffe website:  https://www.wycliffe.org/partner/Coulter

Thank you so much for your prayers for us up to this point—we are so grateful to be able to serve here in Texas, participating in training the next generation of cross-cultural workers for Christ and His Kingdom. We feel that God has led us to this place. Truly, this international transition has been much less stressful than we anticipated, and we know that is all due to God’s grace!  Please pray that we will be able to rest in Him and trust Him for our financial needs over these lean months. We are doing all we can to be wise stewards of limited funds. Thank you!

With great appreciation for your partnership,

Neil and Joyce Coulter
